As with most comments on here, take it all with a pinch of salt. Most of our rides are just that - rides. We don't do much other than ride and sleep so our lack of towels is suitable for our travelling system but if we were doing like beach camping or riding to one place and hanging around for a few days then I'd probably pack a towel (especially in this soggy ass country).
