• A nice combo for that 60s or so track bike. Some signs of use, overall in good to very good condition:

    • Record Pista crankset. 170mm. 151BCD. Williams ring, 48t.
    • Record 'con denti' track pedals. Steel dust caps and plates, e.g. 1960 onwards.

£285 before I stick them on fleabay for fair bit more. Pricey? Yes!! But ....these are not easy (to say the least) to find. Postage + fees etc included.

  • But why are they pricey? Je suis don't understand

  • Because they are that rare. If the pedals were 1st edition with alu caps and plates from 1958/59, the above price would likely start with number 4 or 5.

  • One of the rarest items that Campagnolo collectors rave about.
And these are in excellent condition.

  • free bump / cool story post

on a forum ride to clacton we cycled past a house with an old bike lent up against the fence outside, with a for sale sign on it. thought it looked interesting so as we were near enough in clacton i stopped to have a quick look, it was an old freddy grubb track frame with a 3 speed fixed sturmey archer rear hub and some 151bcd campy record track cranks. full build all for the grand price of £100. seemed rude not to snap it up. ghost rode it to clacton pier, got fish and chips and headed back to london. still have the cranks in my spares box. nice to know they are a bit rare ! and have a bit of value. will find a use for them one day.

  • green bike in the photo being looked at

  • Amazing pedals, and cranks in great condition. A privilege to see these. I'd be tempted if I hadn't spent all my spare cash on bike bits.

I love the machining marks on those older Campa cranks. Just look at that beautiful fluting.

  • On fleabay as 'promised'

  • Thanks. Need to sort my parts bin as I think have few of old Campagnolo cranksets left gathering dust.
