Just seen the highlights of Jamie Carragher in the yellow wall.
Need more reporting like that, people just genuinely enjoying football.

There's going to be some real comedy wage bills for the Championship this year. Wonder if Leicester managed to top Newcastle's £110m+ from a few years back.
Very much enjoying the collapse of Leeds' season, ideal scenario would see them not even making it to Wembley.

Interviewing Sancho while still pissed was a bit weird
-
• #168730
They re almost certainly playing us over two legs so they’ll be at Wembley.

Was a bit weird but seemed way more spontaneous than an interview.
Still enjoyed it.

Potential back to back promotions into football’s top tier is proper 1980s stuff.
There's a Wikipedia page for everything: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_association_football_clubs_with_multiple_consecutive_promotions_or_relegations
tl;dr no

List is missing Southampton in 2011/12?

God bless Rickie Lambert.

Yeah, that page looks woefully out of date. Ah, it does say it is incomplete and asks for people to add missing items.

Most reports are that it's about half that figure.

I'm hoping to get out your way in the next 2-3 months so I'll give you a shout

• #168738
Thanks! I hope you’ll be happy to know that as I posted that, I thought to myself “Greenbank will respond with the answer!”

Getting a bit excited about tonight's semi. (and quietly supporting Chelsea in the background).

Maddison, Tielemans, Soyuncu, Castagne, Barnes, Bertrand, Evans - on the biggest wages other than Vardy - all left in the Summer, plus Mendy, Iverson, Soumare, Kristiansen, Smithies, Tete, etc. were sold or loaned out. Of the players who stayed Faes, Ndidi and Vestergard would be on decent wages, but not huge.
Apart from Coady and Winks, the replacements were either from the academy or relatively cheap - Yunus, Mavadidi, Fatawu, Doyle, Canon.
Most sources put the total bill at £60M. Still massive for the championship and embarrassing if we hadn't got promoted, but I think your £100M is some way off.

The Sancho interview was a bit cringey but Carragher standing in the Yellow Wall was brilliant. He should reciprocate his new mates with Kop tickets.

There’s every chance we fuck it up having spent the last 5 months locked in 5th place.

….and great news that The Best League in the World won’t get a fifth Champions League spot.

When Burnley played Olympiacos (somehow whilst everyone else was getting teams in the Faero Isles in the qualifying rounds we got Olympiacos) their chairman was seen heading into the referee's room at halftime and some of the decisions were questionable to say the least.

outplayed them from the off. mudryk and madueke looked dangerous throughout. the chelsea defence seemed pretty cohesive given all the changes.
spurs season has finished. but reckon 6th is a good first season for ange. hope he is given a couple more seasons to get the personnel in to play how he needs.
I have no particular feelings for or against Ipswich, but what they’ve done is phenomenal. Potential back to back promotions into football’s top tier is proper 1980s stuff. Reminds you how good football can be when it isn’t dominated by money. When did it last happen? I recall Moyes going up into the championship with Preston and losing out in the playoffs the next season (maybe 2000/2001?)
