I have no particular feelings for or against Ipswich, but what they’ve done is phenomenal. Potential back to back promotions into football’s top tier is proper 1980s stuff. Reminds you how good football can be when it isn’t dominated by money. When did it last happen? I recall Moyes going up into the championship with Preston and losing out in the playoffs the next season (maybe 2000/2001?)
