Turkeys voting for Christmas?
-
• #168703
Man City, Man Utd and Villa(?) voted against and Chelsea abstained so not too much suprise apart from Newcastle.
Although I think looking at the last twenty years the only team that would have breached this rule would have been Chelsea a couple of times so it probably won't hurt anyone too much, particularly as the top teams also need to abide by/avoid the UEFA sustainability rules too.

It makes sense that teams would be capped to some artificial definition of revenue and prevents an arms race of having to get into increasing levels of debt to compete.
Plus they can always vote it down if the "product" suffers.

On the beach this week and have been adding my attendance history to the Momento app.
I’m sure I’ve missed a few things but I’m at 234 home games in the last 12 years and around 25 away games (need to up this number).
Based on where I lived across those 12 years, I’ve done 63,972 miles just to home games.

If you want a recommendation for a good book, just shout.

Meh. With a 3.5 yr old, reading books is largely an exercise in futility. Can’t keep a consistent train of thought for longer than a few mins.
Little things like this are snackable tasks in between jumping in the pool / sea or finding bottomless amounts of snacks.

Unbelievable.
How is this actually happening?

Unreal stuff. Tantalisingly close.

If we don't get a point at home against Huddersfield we don't deserve to go up.
If we actually finish ahead of Leeds and Southampton, with their squads and their parachute payments... McKenna is ma ager of the century, let alone manager of the season.

Playing with keiffer Moore and getting promotion. that will be truly amazing

Still can't quite work out why we voted against it. Not ideal company to be keeping. Maybe we wanted the cap to be lower? Either way we're buggered because of being in Europe where the rules are tighter than in the PL. Obv doesn't matter to those who've been on the gravy train for years.

Here in a rare late substitute appearance while loitering in the motorcycle thread, but my understanding of how the parachute payments work is that a relegated club gets 55% of the total available payment at the end of the first year in the championship - if they don't get promoted. If my understanding is correct, then Leicester, Leeds and Southampton won't have had their payment yet (but might have borrowed against it), and Leicester won't get it, but hopefully Leeds will...
Having said that, Ipswich have been brilliant and I hope they get a point on Saturday.

Bottled it. Classic attwell
Dortmund were brilliant. Rode there luck a bit but pleased they held on. Just feel that 1 goal isn't quite enough to take to Paris. -
• #168723
Exactly, they needed to take advantage of that unparalleled support.

Would ABSOLUTELY love Tuchel winning and then flicking the v's.
Let's hope so.
