Back again, too lazy to post to eBay !! As I enter my senior citizen years unfortunately it dawned on me that I'm a shit guitarist. I have acquired a couple of great vintage guitars that are begging to be used.
First up is an awesome but scarred Fernandes Strat copy that I picked up during a frantic buying session in the early 2000's (buying & selling Yamaha SG's / Les Paul copies). From what I can gather it is likely 1982-1985. The sound of the guitar is outstanding - when I had the electrics cleaned and set up I had a lot of trouble getting it back from the tech, they didn't want to let it go! Looking for £250 for this one.
Second guitar is a Gaban Gibson Les Paul Custom copy, produced by Tokai in the late '70's. A couple of blemishes including a mysterious small hole in the neck, which is de-lacquered. At some point the tuners have been upgraded. The sound again is stunning, but electrics need cleaning and the guitar would benefit from a set up. I would like £350 for this little beauty.
Both guitars have quite slim necks (I have small hands!), they are meant to be played, not hung on the wall- both have scars. If you know vintage Japanese guitars and the obsessive copy culture of the late '70's early '80's then you'll know what these are.
I can come into London to deliver, or pick up from Milton Keynes is possible.
