Here in a rare late substitute appearance while loitering in the motorcycle thread, but my understanding of how the parachute payments work is that a relegated club gets 55% of the total available payment at the end of the first year in the championship - if they don't get promoted. If my understanding is correct, then Leicester, Leeds and Southampton won't have had their payment yet (but might have borrowed against it), and Leicester won't get it, but hopefully Leeds will...
Having said that, Ipswich have been brilliant and I hope they get a point on Saturday.

I have no particular feelings for or against Ipswich, but what they’ve done is phenomenal. Potential back to back promotions into football’s top tier is proper 1980s stuff. Reminds you how good football can be when it isn’t dominated by money. When did it last happen? I recall Moyes going up into the championship with Preston and losing out in the playoffs the next season (maybe 2000/2001?)
If we don't get a point at home against Huddersfield we don't deserve to go up.
If we actually finish ahead of Leeds and Southampton, with their squads and their parachute payments... McKenna is ma ager of the century, let alone manager of the season.
