Looks likes similar one sold on eBay for £160, how about £140?

This was mentioned a few pages ago. Had a cup of this a minute ago, absolutely awful. Tastes like it came out of a machine at a petrol station. I'm at my mum's for the weekend, might have to switch to tea.

I will be putting up for sale my Izzo Alex Leva espresso machine shortly if anyone is interested.
It’s kind of a beast with a big commercial La San Marco lever group on a 5 L boiler dipper design boiler PiD controlled. A much simpler and maybe the more reliable version of a Nurri or ACS leva machine
Mechanically pretty straightforward with not very much to go wrong and it’s been rock solid with me.
It’s plumb in only. I have been using it with a BWT best Max filter cartridge
They’re about £2000 New. Mine is about three years old.
With lots of accessories etc
Pics if interest
Collection only SW11. Its heavy
£800

I have a DeLonghi Icona machine in black I'm looking to shift, free to anyone looking for a little project which can become a nice present to someone who enjoys a coffee but not enough to nerd out with anything more complicated.
It developed a problem, meaning it's not pumping the water enough. Might need a descale or some kind of fettling to get it back to life. Could make a nice present if anyone enjoys a small project?
Anyone who might fancy a go is free to collect from N8! Clearing out space and would rather it gets repurposed than thrown out.

Thinking of getting a hand grinder for decaf, atm I just have the shop grind it but would obviously prefer to do it myself.
It won't get loads of use, just want something that does good filter coffee for a decent price. Local shop has a few options like timemore c2 fold for 80 euros, which seems reasonable, but cheaper the better really.

Have a look at the Q air at a similar price point. I think someone on here got one and liked it. 1zpresso grinders are great

O/H just accidentally dropped a whole bag of roasted beans into the kitchen sink. Can they be saved? Thinking rinse + oven dry.

Just dry em?

What's the forum favourite decent/not ridiculously priced set of scales? I knew the one that was a tenner from Amazon wouldn't cut it, but wasn't prepared for just how shit it is.

Haha. Beat me to it!

Another clearing out post, this time it might attract more interest... Not touched my 1Zpresso JX-Pro since getting the DF54 and the reality is that there's no point in keeping both, so now looking to shift it.
My understanding is that ~£100 is around the ballpark but happy to hear what you think is a fair price.
@MCamb half jokingly dibs'd it back when I mentioned I might be looking to sell it once the DF arrived, so happy to give him first refusal.
Only ever used for espresso, it's in very good nick and has always given me consistent results. Can post photos later on.

How do you find the DF54? I am currently using a Wilfa Uniform, but I struggle to consistently get espresso with as there are only two useable steps. I'm considering binning it off and moving to something more espresso focused.

i am not a full on coffee snob but do appreciate a good one. i am an aeropress guy... we get through ~1kg of ground a month. i used to buy from extract coffee roasters every month when they did a 30% offer...
this worked well for me for the past few years, but now they are only doing the 30% off on whole beans!! which is challenging. i have two options:
- invest in something (electric) to grind the beans
- go to a new subscription model from somewhere else. good value is appreciated (extact was ~£20-25 a kilo shipped)
recommendations for both above welcome. my other half bought some crap coffee from lidl earlier and this can't go on
- invest in something (electric) to grind the beans

Option A.
Most bang for buck from coffee upgrades come from grinding fresh. Don’t know what budget is for grinder, but Sage Smart Grinder, Fellow Ode, Niche Zero all good options at varying budgets for aero press.

If you're okay with ground coffee then you certainly don't need to go single dose. I have a Silenzio with a 500gm hopper and it works great for our purposes (2-3 Robot espressos per day).

Been really enjoying it! Espresso on mine is between around 10 and 20 on the dial, most have been 14/17. Half “steps” (it’s stepless but you get the drift) do make a useful difference and aren’t so close to be faffy, I’d totally recommend it for espresso.
Still getting to grips with what to expect in terms of extraction variation per step but it’s been straightforward so far. No idea in terms of going from espresso to filter as I never have filter, but it’s able to do both. For the price it’s a bit of a no brainer I think!
Interested in a 1Zpresso ZP6? Put about 250g of beans through it then went down the espresso rabbit hole
