I recently was cycling next to a lime bike and a lycra brompton having a side by side (no spitting) argument from the Genesis cinema all the way down to Bow Road. Stopping at each set of lights to continue to argue before they eventually parted ways.
It interrupted my podcast, but it was really quite beautiful in its own way.

I rode the Billboard to work today and on the way home I caught up with somebody on a Tarmac roadbike. They weren’t particularly going for it so we rode along together for a few minutes chatting. Turns out they live a couple of miles from me. Anyway as we neared the start of the next village they said “sprit for the sign?” “Yeah sure” was my reply. Fucking hell! Could he move!! I had the wheel for a little bit, but he was gone. He slowed back down and a caught back up. They didn’t even have the decency to be totally out of breath. I got home and checked my Strava I hit 36mph on my attempt. So fuck knows what they hit. Oh well…

We don’t do hills in Norfolk;)
That was peak speed for me and is only 150rpm :D They on the other hand were in a whole different world to me. -

It was a beautiful day to be out riding, the trails are even drying out slightly (until the next deluge).

Bloody hell, the headwind on the way back today!

Yea, brutal

thunder and a hailstorm here this morning, accompanied by 45mph gusts so sacked it off and got the bus.
kudos to anyone who braved it. -

No thunder, but the rain was horizontal. I took a spare set of kit in my bag to come home in!

Once again the gusts around Tally Ho Corner were terrifying. All architecture students should be made to ride round it on a day like today.

The really heavy rain storm started about 1 minute after I got home for a change. Felt quite smug

After this mornings commute I fear I will never have a good nights sleep again.
Riding down by the river and there in the middle of the road is a very run over rabbit. It is fair to say that it has not just been hit, but had been driven over. That’s not the reason for my nocturnal fears no. The 2 mallard ducks that are roasting the poor thing is the reason. The sick little sadists were pounding the hell out of it. Dirty birds. Please send mind bleach. -

You haven't managed to capture the brutal wind

Heart in mouth moment this morning when a branch got wedged in front mudguard and the 'quick snap' stays didn't snap apart.... Luckily on a gravelly track with a nice soft bush to fall into.

Went for a swim at Mile End Leisure centre and when I came out I saw a very nice boardman with zipps and ultegra, along a kids bike just... laid against the rails, the lock not locking onto anything.
Locked my bike to it and found the owner inside, they took their kid for a swimming lesson but forgot their lock keys at home, so I waited around 10min until they finished. Incredibly brave. One might say even silly.

Very much enjoying the now twice daily routine of picking tiny bugs out of bits of my face that they have no business being in. Hell of a time of year.

Could at least have taken the lights off
Not heard back yet, but will convey on here if they ever do.. Don't think the bus stop before the roadworks is closed so don't know what exactly they do have!
