  • Man City, Man Utd and Villa(?) voted against and Chelsea abstained so not too much suprise apart from Newcastle.

    Although I think looking at the last twenty years the only team that would have breached this rule would have been Chelsea a couple of times so it probably won't hurt anyone too much, particularly as the top teams also need to abide by/avoid the UEFA sustainability rules too.

  • It makes sense that teams would be capped to some artificial definition of revenue and prevents an arms race of having to get into increasing levels of debt to compete.

    Plus they can always vote it down if the "product" suffers.

  • Still can't quite work out why we voted against it. Not ideal company to be keeping. Maybe we wanted the cap to be lower? Either way we're buggered because of being in Europe where the rules are tighter than in the PL. Obv doesn't matter to those who've been on the gravy train for years.
