Ive got one of these from the Futon company
https://www.futoncompany.co.uk/shop-by-product/sofa-beds/size/two-seater/haiku-2-seater-birch-double-sofa-bed.html
which is comfy as a sofa and is a good bed as well. I think it looks good and is a reasonable price for what it is. Much better than blowing tons of money at Heals for an overhyped designer label -

We have a Habitat one that is very comfortable as both a 3 person sofa and king-size bed.
They don't do it any more, but have this option instead: https://www.habitat.co.uk/product/1996326

Lovely, this is perfect... apart from the price...
@giles337 This looks ideal, especially with the 3-panel mattress option. Thanks!

I saw an ikea day bed hack. Sort of colonial(?) style with reed sides, that looked like a reasonable balance. If you supplement it with cushions.
Let me see if I can find it.

Habitat stuff is cheap shit now. Fight me.
I also firmly believe that if you want a Sofabed, you probably want a good sofa and an air mattress.
Plus, you can't get a sofa worth sitting on now for less than £1k, a three seater for sub £1.5k, so I'm willing to bet that faux-mid cen thing above will be shit as either a sofa, a bed, or both.

Ligne Roset multy.
My dad slept on one for years.
It's a bit like the futon ones but more tech.
They can be had very cheap here in Germany second hand, if that's the case on the island you could try one and then get new covers or get rid.

100% agree.
Source: I worked for the mothership while they repositioned the brand, aka slapped it last logo on all Sainsburys home items.
Bloody travesty.
Website is just argos in black and white too.

Yea you’re probably right. They’ve gone bust here in Barcelona. Last time I went into the store, there was a very random
Assortment of stuff.Still, the sofabed I bought in 2014 has been decent. Genuinely comfortable to sleep on and the whole thing looks brand new.

This was the day bed hack.
Not quite my thing, but it made me think with some alterations it would be a good solution. Obviously kids would jam their fingers through that basket shit immediately.

The Ploum model is comfier I reckon and don’t have the current instagram tax. Can often be found cheaper on eBay. FYI you can order new covers for them, whereas I don’t think you can for a Togo.

Very nice!
Have a "click clack" (like opening a book) style sofa bed and it's terrible. The hinge is very prominent and uncomfortable, and the sides sag downwards as they're not properly supported. Would definitely avoid that style if you're tempted.
My recommended solution is get a good air mattress with an in-built pump.
