Have a "click clack" (like opening a book) style sofa bed and it's terrible. The hinge is very prominent and uncomfortable, and the sides sag downwards as they're not properly supported. Would definitely avoid that style if you're tempted.
My recommended solution is get a good air mattress with an in-built pump.

Yeah, appears to be. I'm looking for something that folds out into a comfortable double bed, ideally 150cm+ in width.
