I dunno. As a pretty liberal person I'm still in two minds.
My daughter was born in 2009 so she'll never be able to legally buy stuff herself. Right now she couldn't think of anything worse than smoking/vaping (given that she's so sporty) and isn't interested in it if any of her mates offer it to her.
Then again, I was massively sporty at that age and it all fell apart when I went to uni. I smoked pretty heavily all the way from 18-30.
It's hugely personal but looking back there's a massive amount of stuff in my life I regret doing and wish I could magically change, but if I was only able to pick one thing it would be that I wished I never started smoking.

I smoked from. 14-30 with a couple of breaks in my 20s while I attempted to quit. I guess because I found the final time I quit quite easy, it's easier to look back with nostalgia. That said I'm massively internally judgemental of anyone >30yo who smokes.
How long I'd smoked as % was really brought home when we were doing the Aetna apps for our US health insurance. I also got a load of grief from my OH. When you're unfamiliar with something like that and don't know what the impact will be on your coverage or OOP expenses could be, the stupidity is really brought home.
Is it bad that part of me is a little sad kids won't be able to smoke anymore?
