i'd say no to a soundbar if you want to use it for music.
these sound decent and look quite nice - i have one, they seem to be discontinued but you could pick one up second hand or open box like this one:

only thing to note is the UI is UNDOK which I'm not mad about and have complained about on here in the past.

Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll do some reading/price comparisons.
With Sonos is it worth going for 2 speakers set up for stereo or does one sound ok? It would be a little over budget but not crazy.
Should I consider a soundbar instead of more conventional speakers?
