34mm, clean enough design to be perfectly readable in basically all conditions and not get in the way

Looking for a digital watch for cycling and general outdoor activities. Doesn't have to be a smart watch/ GPS/ sports specific. I have a GW-M5610U-1ER which is great but I like the idea of something a bit more legible along the lines of the new MIPS display watches. The G Shock MIPS ones though look a fair bit bulkier than the classic square ones - which I'm not keen on. Any thing I should be looking at?

That scale knurling makes it closer than ever to the sub eh? (Well apart from the OG Prince of course)
-
• #77458
The (what seems like) more agressive knurling might just swing it, need to take a look at one in person….
Edit: just realised this isn’t the new one, crown guard

Kn. Ooops.
Crown guards?

It’s the 39 Pelagos. Wasn’t aware any changes had been made since it was first released.
Wearing my other holiday watch today.

For some colourful watch porn check out the Christie's catalogue for the Only Watch auction. The marble Bulgari is in good company https://www.christies.com/en/auction/only-watch-30728/ Lots of highly wearable pieces for Colin Hunt when he wins Euromillions.

nice chain, you appear to be a crank down!

I am 😂 it was a bad day

Thank god it's not just me. I have to carry tools to tighten crank bolts every couple of miles.
I think it may be time for a new crank...

Watch nerds, how moody is this Sub? The papers look great, the watch less so. It's obvs dodgy but...
I've asked the seller to meet me at the Tudor store in Brisbane to authenticate the watch, then I'll be happy to go to the bank with him and give him his cash.

Why would that be dodgy?
I really have no idea, but the moment you have all that paperwork including Rolex service papers with. I would think the right serial number, I'd feel confident. -
• #77469
I have trust issues. And it just looks too good to be true.

Prices for Rolex/Tudor seem to be on the way down, no? Model I am sometimes checking is down from minimum 6200€ to some under 5000€. So back at what it retailed for.
How low is too good to be true if you don't mind me asking?Sure there will be one of the Tudor sub people around shortly.
-
• #77471
It looks like it’s in great shape. Either a safe queen or rehaul at the service centre. Your plan to authenticate at the Tudor AD sounds good if the seller agrees.

Under £500!!!
He's now saying someone is coming to get it tonight (at 9.30pm?) so he won't be able to meet me tomorrow. Scam!
-
• #77473
What’s in the pics looks good but 500 is way to cheap. Also 75190 is mid size 36mm one rather than the full size sub. I think they’d still easily go for 2.5k ish
-
• #77474
Yeah, I had a mid size last time and loved it. Totally sketch!
-
• #77475
There is no way someone would go to all that bother to forge those documents for £500.
I would lean towards legit and the seller isn't very sophisticated and / or needs cash in hand quick for some reason.
Having said that, I can't comment on any identifiers on the watch itself.
Happy Friday
