I don't think you can do anything about the 'bob'; this is a function of large men on small bikes.
Rather does the block absorb most of the road jitters and make the ride smoother?

Can I ask, what are the suspension block options and how do they suit the uses? I swapped my standard to firm a while back, as I’m fairly heavy, but I still get a ‘bob’.
