Didn’t Gwilym from Prufrock move there about ten years ago? There must be good coffee.
I just looked him up and he’s there but just roasting it seems. Pretty sure he did a load of consultancy / training etc a few years ago -

These are my current ones for filter... the one without a name is Florence from here in Luxembourg, Saint Romain is from the Cote d'Or in France and Piha is from Bordeaux. Of the three, the Saint Romain gets the nod every time.
Both Florence and Saint Romain have a personal relationship with the growers (maybe Piha too, but they weren't super chatty when I went in).

Are you thinking of selling the flair?

No, cause I know I'll regret it. I'm also in the U.S. so posting it to the UK would be a non starter :)

I had the same issue recently with some Dark Arts, one step coarser on my grinder seemed to solve it.
I've got the 9 bar spring in, a puck screen, and an IMS precision basket and shower screen BTW -

2 things. With the James "Experimental" I used more coffee in my V60 and it has gone from not very nice at all (astringent?) to very enjoyable. So my fault. I think I need to be much more accurate with coffee that is not just basic espresso blend.
Second, my daughter has taken my Timemore C2. I am pleased she is taking an interest. Aliexpress took my money but failed to deliver a new one. I am about £100 down and no hand grinder. So has anyone got a grinder of similar or above quality they want to move on? 30mg capacity is OK and no need for espresso grind.

I’m in Madrid for 3 days. Presumably most coffee is good but is there anywhere that’s amazing?

Christ, did you get burned a second time as well on AliExpress? That is poor luck!

Just once with AliEx - £100 down is the c£35 stolen by them, plus c£65 for the C2 now on permanent loan to my daughter (she is using a Hario v60 set somebody kindly sold to me on here). I have a basic Sage electric at home, but "need" a quite nice hand grinder when I am away.
@branwen - please pm me with what you would like for the P1 -

thanks - I did try to engage without success. They wanted photos to prove non-delivery, so I sent some holiday snaps then flounced.

I've been cutting my caffeine right down recently but I'm missing my morning cappuccino. I already know the answer to this is no, but I'll ask anyway, are there any single espresso baskets worth their salt for the Gaggia Classic?

Why are you so sure? Don't VST make lower dose baskets? And VST baskets are the shit.

Sworks has some that go down to 9-11g. Not cheap mind

Why are you so sure?
Only because single shot baskets in a machine designed for a larger shot (58mm, 18-20g) have generally been written off because the design with the funnelling in it is fundamentally flawed. And reducing the height of the basket compromises the

Yeah they do seem to, I didn't know about those. And a couple of others are making them too, like Decent and IMS.

Checked and it's just round the corner from where I was staying. I'm back over next month, so it's now bookmarked.
