Worth a shot

We showing minis are we? Downsized from the cargo to one after I stopped doing couriering full time and it’s class, and I can hang it off the wall rather than taking up all the space in our 1 downstairs room 👌

The stock bars and stem are awful on the UA! Bullmoose is the baller option. I put a standard 100mm stem and On One OG bars on the bikes at work, that's a pretty nice comfy set up!

Were you couriering in Leeds? I used to work for Last Mile when I lived there. Good fun punting rickety, old, non electric Bullitts and trikes full of paper up the hills!

baller option
Yeah you’re right these days. Back then planet X still sold them (and their own brand ones with a slightly worse finish) for like £30🥲

Ok that was more or less what i was thinking about. I have some generic stuff from ergotec in the bin i think will work.

Blimey, I missed that or I would have nabbed a set!

Cheaper solution than the Hiplok and Litelock anti-angle grinder locks. 230mm x 94mm clearance vs 205mm x 112mm on the DX1000

Being able to order keyed alike locks is pretty cool. Litelok x1 is 500g lighter though.
I'd like to see a proper video of them all compared. People are commenting that Francis used masonry discs in that test, so not sure how different it would be with a metal cutting disc?

I have a few old fahgettaboudits that I use, any idea how they fair, what their time resistence is compared to more modern locks? Most of the locks on that test were reasonably good.

Meh, whatever you use there'll be comments saying you should have used something else or the technique was shit. I think it was useful to see the same disc/technique across all locks.

Litelok x1
2 of these for an ecargo bike is the way to go IMO

I wouldn't rate any D lock that's not one of the new "angle grinder proof" at actually stopping a bike going walkies. I use them now as I'm still waiting for my DX1000. The only thing I am confident about is that they satisfy my insurance. I'd just prefer if I didn't have to go through that process, hence ordering the DX1000.

This is so crazy that theft is so common, see so many here with a frame lock and nothing else.

People mistake UK for a real country or first world.

Everybody is basically honest, massive grinderproof locks just make them a bit more honester.

Our neighbors have a UA that lives outside (our daily bikes do as well) and i have never see anything on it but the frame lock, even when they go on vacation. We lock more aggressively, as Americans we trust no one lol.

Yeah but as an Independent- basically took over Adrian Knight’s clients after he moved back to Australia, started with a burley flatbed and moved up to the Omnium, didn’t ever work for Ian but he occasionally threw me a few random clients that I don’t think he was bothered with!

I might actually order one of those squires as a back up/second for the DX1000
-
• #13774
Oh nice! I met Adrian a few times. Always gave me a wave when we crossed paths, lovely bloke. Yeah Ian was always fobbing jobs he didn't want off to other people, haha

Agreed, have a fahgabouttit chain and litelock X3, have much better piece of mind when the litelock is on there.
Especially on a bike stand:

I did briefly but no change. Maybe worth leaving it overnight?
