In Oz 20 years ago everyone bought techno on vinyl because that's where the new stuff came from and no one used digital/CDJs. Nowadays almost everyone carries around a USB stick and plugs it into a controller or CDJs and is fully digital.

Thames Water. Never stops raining but the water has gone off so no turbo session for me today.
That and their shithouse billing dept. that haven't billed us in years and then don't have the right water meter on file.

Last week we lost water on our street, and as they were attending the site, a lad from Thames Water could be seen waggling a hose around from his crotch spraying water into the air, all of them laughing

TW have attempted to repair a leak across the road from me about 12 times now. Another down the road has been done at least 4 times.
Usually seems fine for about 3 days before the botched repair saturates the surrounding ground and then the leak appears again.

TBF, that's pretty funny.

Marrakesh airport - flew out of it yesterday - what a cluster fuck of a place. Bags scanned twice, passport inspected by five different people, including one guy twenty yards after passport control checking passport control had stamped everyone’s passport. An hour to get airside. Never going to go back there after that.

Reminds me of Point Noire airport. Someone trying to lift belongings/take money from you at every point of the process

Hey those people need jobs too, if they aren't extra checking passports maybe they'll have to stand around by the bag scanners looking bored instead. Last time I was there we were stuck in a pretty short queue for passport control but they were quizzing everyone on their life story, it got to about 10 mins til flight time, lots of people are starting to look very nervous. We eventually get through and get there as it's meant to be boarding but the plane was delayed by 30 mins anyway. All airports can have awful queues, the real crime in Marrakesh is the food.

Also getting in the taxi on the way there I slipped off the curb and sprained my ankle really badly so by the time we were in the building it was the size of a bowling ball. Tried to get some medical help but ended up sitting in the medical room for half an hour while they tried to find the medic and eventually he just gives me an aspirin and calls it good.

No wonder the NHS is so stretched when they provide service as far as Marrakesh.

I don't remember any drama at the airport after AMR so clearly the trick is to do more damage to yourself before you get there and then you won't remember any of it anyway.

Found Marrakesh Airport and Taxis to and from all ok. Its hardly like using Luton or Stanstead or something

I see your Marrakesh airport and I raise you Puerta Vallarta.
Fucking shambles.

I once took a small internal flight in Egypt and after entering the airport it was prayer time so all the staff left. We all just walked to the plane through the now empty airport.

Try Frankfurt. Omnishamble on a truly epic scale. Hardly ever had a flight in or out of there on time in the 13-odd years it's been my "local" hub.

eBay seller taking his sweetass time sending a pair of wheels. They finally arrive with a thin layer of bubble wrap and brown paper, all ripped to shreds as expected. Both wheels rubbing against each other so cosmetic damage to both hubs. Two loose spokes. Rear hub disassembled and freewheel missing. Listing claims wheels were bought from new and only covered 200 miles. Pure horseshite, cannot walt to unload on this cunt tomorrow. Via the proper channels of course.

Brought some ssd’s off eBay, £190’s worth arrived wrapped in a cex brown paper bag inside of a Jiffy bag. So surprised that they actually worked, that I didn’t feel the need to send scathing feedback about the packaging.,

Thames Water upthread.
I don't think Thames Water employ many people to do the real work.
For north west London, (Mogden region in TWspeak), nearly all the grunt work is subbed out to Lanes.
the 'Thames Water' liveried trucks/sewage gulpers/ etc usually have a small sign 'Operated by Lanes Group on behalf of Thames Water'.I presume this is the normal story of subcontracting the very essence of the company, keep the water flowing, so as to minimise costs to maximise bonusses.

I’m envious of the stereotypical Mañana approach to life (I might feel less stressed more often!) but added to the humidity, lack of seating, lack of information - it makes Puerto Vallarta a special case, IMO.
Mexico City airport was better, but we were delayed and I’ve never seen so many planes queuing to take off.
I’ve never flown into or out of Frankfurt, but I expected to hear better things given it’s… in Frankfurt.

Once had to return some eBay Dura Ace wheels as the braking surface was massively worn. Seller seemed genuinely clueless and came to collect them from me/hand back the reddies at KT Tube station so I could show him what the problem was.
Good luck!

Buying clothes. Nothing looks right/is what I want. It's all too expensive. It takes too fucking long.
A personal shopper is definitely on my Euro millions wish list.

Also my stupid fucking VM taking forever to let me back in for having the temerity to step away to unload the washing machine.

more of a mild annoyance - but Ikea's picture frames not being friendly for most 'normal' print/poster sizes - always at least one dimension slightly too big or too small :/

Currently trying not to hate my son’s best mate.
The kid is 11 but eats like a 2 year old. Nearly drowned himself trying to drink water 5 minutes ago.
Top place. Would recommend.
