Hard to imagine exactly your sitch without a pic, but it might be worth thinking about whether you need everything level/same height.
In an ideal world you'd have your washing machine and tumble dryer at couple of feet off the ground so you're not bending over. So you may be able to turn it into an opportunity.
This is exactly our thing at the moment. Currently have a washing machine toilet and sink in a sort of utility couple of rooms behind the kitchen. The floor they're on is about 60cm above the kitchen floor up some janky steps. We want to dig out the steps so it's the same level but then the side return is also tiered so would potentially need to dig out the side return to account for the lower floor. Though on the face of it 60cm sounds a lot more tolerable than your couple of meters.
