Haven't used Uber for ages. I tried to book an taxi, no one accepted so I closed the app. 15m later I get a call saying my uber is here.
My question is how do I contact uber to get them to wave the cancellation fee? Do I have to call them? There doesn't seem to be an obvious messaging function.
Cheers.

Go into your Account, select Activity, choose the choose the journey in question. Scroll down, there should be an option about something wrong with the trip or contacting Uber about it.

Cheers.
I never remember the app being so slow and clunky before. But then it's been years since I used it.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hand luggage wheelie suitcase for someone that has to do a lot of travelling with work?
Every week I'm on flights, trains, walking between hotels and offices etc so I think I want something hard sided with a warranty.
Right now I use a AER travel pack 3, which is fine but I'd like a little more room for some gym clothes and trainers.

£++?
Tumi have a 'Golf' range. -

If needed I'll reluctantly pay Tumi money. I probably fit the use case without having the time to play golf.

Depends in part what you're wearing, who you are flying with and where you are walking but I could never really get on with a small wheelie and far preferred a good travel rucksack (clamshell opening essential).
Much easier to walk around with outside of an airport (i.e. when the floor is not perfectly smooth), your hands are free, they are less likely to get checked at the gate (happens a lot with a hard wheelie), more flexible with packing and squeezing into lockers as they are soft, wheels/handle take up a surprising amount of room when you have limited space.
A ten minute walk with a backpack is absolutely fine, a 10 minute walk with a little wheelie bouncing around behind you is really annoying.

Don’t know her, but just bought a bracelet from her a couple of weeks ago and can confirm it’s lovely

My wife has a Briggs and Riley wheelie case - not hard sided but excellent. By far the best bit of luggage we own.

Shirt, smart trousers. Fly Easyjet.
This is what I have, pretty much what you describe: https://aersf.co.uk/products/travel-pack-3?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwuJ2xBhA3EiwAMVjkVHYpGPzve5oeSGXkCuWX0i7hRGbYzAwN6ZjzUoO_NUIi4hLRYfkYXhoCXl0QAvD_BwE
But the size 12 shoes and 3 or 4 days of gym kit basically fills it.

Samsonite Paradiver Light 55cm. Converts from a wheely bag to a rucksack. If mine wears out I'll get another one. But it's pretty bulletproof and I suspect it'll outlast me. It's not hard-sided but it's tough.

Is your plan to have backpack plus wheelie bag? I didn't find that my hard sided wheelie suitcase was bigger than the slightly smaller backpack when it came to packing so you'll really only get extra space if you're adding a bag.
I used to be able to do a 2 week trip with just a backpack but fortunately I don't have size 12 feet.

Yeah that was the plan, to add a little rucksack as well.
Thanks for the suggestions so far, I'm near Oxford Street so can have a look tonight.

Which supermarket or pharmacy's generic ibuprofen tablets are little pink circles?
-
• #121722
Doesn’t ring any bells. I think I’ve only seen white ones.
The big ones like Smarties on prescription in the 90s used to be pink.

Show me the blue pill.
Taper drift? Conveniently has a hole in it for a retaining wire so it doesn't wander off.
