Confiscated by Berlin police today. They claim it does 67kph.

Does not look a lot less safer than lets say a Velorex.

All that stuff under the seat? But maybe it's filled with gaffa tape...

Oh those are cute.
The problem is going 67kph and no numberplate I guess. Also no drivers license.I asked the police on twitter if they can make a contact to the owner so I can try to make it road legal ;-).

My latest ratty runabout. Grabbed this Charge Plug from FB Marketplace last week then chucked a load of bits from the shed that have been looking for a home on - ran out of light so didn't get time to hook up or adjust the brakes but otherwise it's just about ready to ride.

Done. As usual, what was supposed to be a ratty build actually ended up quite nice. And fully completed with only parts I already had - cost me zero additional pence on top of the initial bike purchase (which was mostly funded by the sale of another one anyway).
Managed to fit some chunky Schwalbe Spicer tyres on, which should make for a nice comfortable ride.

(see post no.18628)
Are we all familiar with the Velorex? Here's some info:
Admittedly one of the original designers was killed road testing, but apparently there are still a large number in use in Czechia (the latest of them are now 50 years old).
At least the Velorex had reasonable sized brake drums, whereas the tiny drums shown in the electric version would probably be hard pressed to stop an unmotorised trike from 10 mph!

Another round with the Ratty Rusty Raleigh. Super fun bike for city commuting.
Threw a larger Wald basket on, but ended up not liking the vibes, so this is how she will remain.

That's really really good. Forward facing drop outs look like they help with the guards, can the rear wheel be removed easily?
