They are cheaper but having watched far too many youtube train experience review videos (never knew such things existed) it seems the refurbished Avanti trains while being more expensive the journey times are a lot shorter especially as i’m closer to Euston/Kings-X.
you can buy an overpriced GnT on them too.
if i book using the app i can change to next available service for a fee.
