  • I tried to sell but not a sniff of interest so figured I might as well put it’s summer shoes on - tyres plump nicely to 31mm (and clearance for more) and stopping safely is hugely overrated…

  • Saw this on IG. So cool, seat tube and head tube branding are top notch

  • Thanks, it was fun to put together, hopefully my son will be happy to see his name on it too. As he's more often than not on the front I wanted him included.

  • Put my Wiggle carbon on for summer

  • Link to for sale thread?

  • Changed to a carbon post, wider bars and a nicer 3T stem

  • So our prototype got the wrong finish. Supposed to be brushed, with bead blasted logos.

The whole thing is just bead blasted. How hard would it be to brush a whole frame at home? Ive refinished brushed frames, but never gone from blasted to brushed

  • I'd guess it's quite a mission, although much easier than sanding the paint off a frame... Not that that's saying much

  • I’ve decided to just do a panel on the downtube and possibly some bands on the seat tube.

  • RIP Baum, headtube angle went from from 72.5 to 76 degrees after a frontal impact vs a car.

    You will be missed.

  • 😔 Maybe they can repair it?

  • That’s so sad, it’s a beautiful frame and not easily replaced.

  • Damn, condolences

  • I'll use it on the indoor trainer as I can't use it outside anymore. Using the Mosaic for the time being but I can clearly tell the Mosaic is not made to be a road bike.

Few more days / weeks and I'll have a road bike up and running again, no ti this time but carbon and disc.

Just hope to get everything sorted with the insurance as it was 100% her fault. The bike has been the least of my worries to be fair.

  • hope you're not too banged up?

  • I was / am, on the road to recovery now. More info can be found here;

  • Oooft, I'd missed that. Glad to hear you're recovering, that sounds absolutely horrible.

  • Sorry you were hurt so bad!
I went through a car windshield once but was fine compared to that.

  • So sorry to hear. Hope recovery continues and you're not impacted long term.

  • The only bike I own and it’s a decent comfy ride

  • Fucking love this bike.
Built it just before I had kids, rode it a little bit and then left it standing for a few years while I chased really small people around parks and museums.
Have a new commute and have rewoven biking into my days and absolutely fucking loving it again.

The only part of the build I regret is the rims. Lovely Chris Kings hubs and I should have gone either open pros or hunt rims not this shitty budget halfway house. I think they are DT Swiss or something.
And the puffy tape I have to have because my wrist is made of metal, but other than that... it gets an 8.5 out of 10 from me.
