If it's as well-made as my (slightly different) MIJ one then that is a very nice price.

I kind of like them because they aren't totally made up, like a lot of the recent "paranormal" stuff is. Telecasters with Jazzmaster bodies became semi-popular in Japan and were officially sold by Fender because people were asking for a more comfortable Telecaster.

I had no idea that was a thing, fascinating!

They've even done the odd signature model for Japanese artists, eg https://reverb.com/uk/item/22735840-fender-telemaster-ace-radwimps-limited-edition-1-of-45-made

My one is weird as shit though, korina body and neck and P90s, like a Jazzmaster crossed with a Telecaster crossed with a korina Flying V/Explorer crossed with an SG Special.

Is anyone interested in my Blackstar Studio 10 KT88? I've decided to main the 6L6 version and don't really have the space to keep both (sadly).
They're really nice 10-watt, single-ended valve amps with a switchable overdrive channel. They have a headphone output (with cab simulation), and a proper FX loop for pedals, so they're decent for home use. It also has a built-in digital reverb. The overdrive channel and the reverb are switchable and a footswitch is included.
There are a few different versions, this one has a KT88 power tube. The KT88 has a lot of headroom and the clean channel stays clean even with a fair bit of gain dialled in. In that sense it's a good "pedal platform" amp. The overdrive channel on this version is quite high gain which suits the valve. There's a good sound demo here (starts at the KT88 bit):

It's in pretty much perfect nick bar a bit of dust, never gigged. £200 to a forumenger, if you can collect (east London). I do have a box so can post if you're willing to pay the shipping.

I've absolutely no reason to buy this but I like the look of it so much I almost want it to just hang on my wall.

I can only encourage you in this! It’s actually a pretty great guitar as well as wall deco so very versatile

Anyone know of decent rehearsal space near Kings X?

• #14636
Premises studio on Hackney Road/Hoxton. Not too far, depending on definitions of far....
-
• #14637
Storm and Strummers are both just off the Holloway rd. Depending on the definition of decent...

Heh. Just ended up with the same conclusion! Love that place.

Thanks man.

Yeah, I don't think this is gonna work. 🤦🏼♂️🤯
I'll take it to Matt tomorrow. This may explain why the Mojaxe didn't work either. I think the studs have been moved to accommodate the bridge that's always been on there so I'm probably stuck with it.
As well as two very expensive bridges.
Crazy thing is that the cock who did the refin and broke the neck put new plugs in for the studs as he found they weren't mahogany and a bit crap. Why he didn't move them to the correct position, I don't know. Ugh.
I should've left it as it fucking was.

Oh shit. What now? Custom one? Is there an aftermarket one that is adjustable side to side?

Also, talk me out of buying this: https://reverb.com/uk/item/80061891-fender-precision-bass-1992-93-blonde

That's an utter cock and balls. At this stage I'd find a good local metal worker and get them to make you one that solves the problem...

Potentially stupid question... have you got it upside down? It it reversible? It looks like the gaps between the bridge posts and the outside strings is quite different on the bass and treble sides?
EDIT. Yes it was a stupid question, but I'm claiming back some credibility for noticing the offset string holes. Just looked at the Music City website and it says of the Studfinder.
"This bridge is designed for instruments with severely offset studs. If your studs are parallel or slightly offset, the Savvy will be the best fit for your guitar"

The one I have on there is good enough, I just wanted perfect. Bah!

Oportunity to buy this instead! https://musiccitybridge.com/products/the-savvy-bridge

Nah, that's how it's supposed to go. There's only really one way it can go on.

I've just set up a new Reverb shop after getting banned when I posted a guitar for sale on there then forgot all about it. Doh!
It was my fault, but totally not intended. The guitar had sat unsold for months and after a while I'd forgotten i'd even posted it for sale... unfortunately, I hadn't noticed that my Reverb profile had defaulted to an ancient unused gmail account. Someone eventually bought and paid for the guitar and I had no idea as I didn't see any notifications. The seller complained and got fully refunded by reverb and I got banned. I was oblivious to the whole fiasco!
Anyway feel free to peruse HOWLIN' AL'S QUALITY KIT - "This time I will actually send you the guitar you paid for".

Come to the conclusion I need some more wall hangers - any thoughts on good ones that I can hang not just standard headstocks (e.g. Gibson/most acoustics) on but also weird-shaped ones (I'm looking at you, Telecaster)?
-
• #14650
The Hercules ones rotate to accommodate asymmetrical headstocks. Any one that rotates should work but the Hercules ones are well made and nitro-friendly, if that's a concern.

I never really liked those but seeing Pat Beers playing his Bonser offset strat thing has made me reevaluate them. Bargain for someone.
