• Hi

I purchased this threadless steerer extender which acts like a quill inside a threadless steerer and has adjustable spacers at the top to make to overall diameter of the protrusion 1 1/8", so inline with the main steerer. It's similar to a threaded to threadless adapter but simply extends an existing threadless steerer.

However I cannot work out how to tighten up the quill bolt. It runs through the main body and attached to the bottom wedge and a nut, but there is nothing for the bolt to press against, so it just drops straight through the steerer. Does this instruction make sense to anyone? (See page 2)

Note: once the quill part is installed, the top cap uses a 5mm hex bolt that threads into the main quill bolt. That works as normal as it presses against the stem/ top spacer. It's the larger quill bolt which doesn't stay in place. On a quill stem it would press against a recess in the top of the stem body
