Thanks Jonny - he was a pretty special father in law. A proud Chilean professor who helped many Chilean people settle in the Uk to escape Pinochet.

RIP Frank Field. The Today programme this morning played the speech he made in 2017, where he re-counted talking a man out of suicide at his surgery, and went on to detail the utter poverty of some of his constituents. Brought a tear to my eye.

As a constituent i can contest to his values particularly around the time of thatcher wanting to close cammel lairds . Their are no labour in the area worthy of taking over.
If your ever in chester go read some of his work on the walls of the story house he was their patron and loved what they are doing for literature.
