BSR/BWR hubs, is the BWR known for being less reliable than the BSR or anything? How much bigger are the jumps between gears?
I have a BSR hub on a Raleigh Twenty and it's grand but I do feel like a lower bottom gear would be nice sometimes, but with that said, I don't know that I'd want top gear being that much bigger.

I found this useful: http://xldev.co.uk/bgc.html

has anyone tried an aliexpress electric conversion on their brompton? seems to be plenty of options out there!

Sprockets - Max maybe 18t - @Mikey5000 could do no more than 17t from memory.
You will see in this vid, this chap used 12-14-18t
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zttcr7nhy-0
Clips - I have no useful comment.
Sunrise looks good - you will see in the vid a friction shifter was used, and I have also seen this deployed
but best of luck finding one if you like that as it appears largely out of stock in the UK. -

out of interest - how do actuation ratios influence the shifter if you want it to be indexed?

Thanks @Arvy
Ive seen a few videos and blogs about it, but I'm having trouble sourcing the necessary circlip.
Minimods/BikeGang only sell it as part of their (expensive) cog kit from China
The Brompton Man seems to be out of business (not responding to emails and Facebook page is out of action)
SJS Cycles don't have any (other than part of the MiniMods kit they sell- at twice the price of BikeGang)
BrilliantBikes don't even list any
I'm drawing a blank everywhere I look...

Ryan no longer has this business. He sold it on to someone else.

Yes I know... but the new guy isn't responding. I wonder if he's closed?

I take it you aren't retaining your smallest sprocket and therefore are unable to re-use the one you are currently using?
I can see what you saw on BikeGang*... this is where I would take the new smallest sprocket to your LBS and ask them if they have one that size?I also saw on that page it comes with 1.5mm & 1.8mm Circlip
(*I also saw they are the only ones that appear to have the DTSwiss shifter as part of their kit)

Im using x3 sprockets from an 11-spd cassette (17t, 15t and 13t).
I'm using a stock plastic spacer between the 17t and 15t, and the 13t has a built-in spacer (shoulder) on it. The combination of all 3 cogs doesn't allow sufficient space for the standard width Brompton circlip/snap ring.
I have carefully filed back the width of the tangs on the free hub (see picture for what I'm referring to) which was suggested in the video linked to above, but there still isn't enough space to fit the circlip and I'm reluctant to file away any more.

My front mudguard mounting bolt has wobbled loose and got lost, anyone know what I need to replace it? I can buy the kit (https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/mudguards/brompton-front-mudguard-stay-titanium-cw-hook-fixings/) but seems slightly excessive for a single bolt!

What's the going rate at the moment for a 6 speed Brompton used in good condition?
-
• #15091
Depends on the year. Post 2014 but not newest models, I’ve seen them on fb marketplace for ≈£700, but I don’t know many sold at that price. Seems the days of mass scarcity and demand are over, and more folks are content to get a brand new bike on cycle2work for just a bit more dosh.

Post 2018 fork on a 2017 (or earlier) brompton: is this possible?
I understand the more recent forks use a recessed nut for the brake, which is fine as I can get a new caliper or rebuild the brake with a different nut.
However my local shop is suggesting that the "fork length" (= steerer length? headtube length?) changed from old to new versions? Not sure if they are missing something or I am missing something, or both, as this was from a phone call.
I'll take my fork and stem into the shop, but keen to hear if anyone else has come across this before.

Thanks for the reply. It's for my retired mum so cycle to work probably not the best option .

Any fork will work except the mk1 ones.

Thanks, that was what I thought previously. Good to have confirmed.

Anyone got experience with the Brompton SL removable pedals? Any better options?

Always Litepro and similar options from ali-express. I have these and they are ok, but everything tells me I will revert to the MKS Ezy soon

My (admittedly rather elderly) Brompton (3 speed) is getting very difficult to fold - the frame hinge is incredibly stiff. Anyone know a reliable service place in SW London? I'm close to Pearson in Sheen who seem to stock Bromptons, but there's no info on their website about servicing.

I have these (the smaller ones) on mine:

Be fine until it isn’t, can pick up forks quite cheap, speak to Ben @Kinetics say Ryan sent you
