Im using x3 sprockets from an 11-spd cassette (17t, 15t and 13t).
I'm using a stock plastic spacer between the 17t and 15t, and the 13t has a built-in spacer (shoulder) on it. The combination of all 3 cogs doesn't allow sufficient space for the standard width Brompton circlip/snap ring.
I have carefully filed back the width of the tangs on the free hub (see picture for what I'm referring to) which was suggested in the video linked to above, but there still isn't enough space to fit the circlip and I'm reluctant to file away any more.

i did this over the weekend - took a lot of filing of the hub but couldn't get the standard circlip on.
ended up filing the circlip too and that did the trick - although it's meant i took too much off the circlip so theres a bit of play in the casette.
needs to fix this - but so far the shifting works pretty well with a 3 speed sturmey archer shifter.
for ref - my frame (2009) takes an 18t
I take it you aren't retaining your smallest sprocket and therefore are unable to re-use the one you are currently using?
I can see what you saw on BikeGang*... this is where I would take the new smallest sprocket to your LBS and ask them if they have one that size?
I also saw on that page it comes with 1.5mm & 1.8mm Circlip
(*I also saw they are the only ones that appear to have the DTSwiss shifter as part of their kit)
