  • well, i hired an omnium from Paradise today, big fun, big cool.

One spin around the park on the front after I did a little run to the recycling centre to get rid of some garden waste and my gf was sold on the idea of owning one.

Am I going to get one immediately? Probably not. We’re thinking a size S could be a reasonable size compromise for both us to use, will have to test this as I’m not too sure how it would work in practice. I’m 175cm tall and she’s 158cm, so bit of a difference… More compromise on her end than mine, but she’s more up-for it in theory than I am haha. I’ll ask at Paradise tomorrow if they have an S she can try.

Was so fun whipping around on though, such genius little handy machines. There’s definitely one in me future that’s fo sure.

Don’t ask me what mental gymnastics I’ve come to the following conclusion; but I’ve now decided I need to flat bar the Kepler. This urge is unshakeable and must be fulfilled.

Wish I had done this. There has been times where my partner has wanted to use our Omnium but I got a size L and there's just no way she'd be able to ride it safely.
Given you don't need a sporty long fit on these bikes, It's a lot easier to ride one that's small rather than big.

+1, if i had know my silly car project costs were going to be spiral i would have given an S Omnium a lot more consideration for me and my gf to use as car replacement.

@ojwithbits feel the same about a lot of riding these days. A chill fixie, flat-bar Kepler and Omnium would be dream project 3 for me right now.
