I like Liege, despite its reputation I think it’s a compact and interesting small city. It is deathly quiet on a Sunday though.
The few times I’ve been to see L-B-L, we’ve gone to the start and seen the race roll out, then headed out to intercept it in a car. The finish was always in Ans then, which is a bitch to get to on race day, so we’d catch the race a few times then head to a bar and watch the final 30 kms on tv.

Hopefully it should be a bit buzzier given the race is on! We’re based in Brussels for the 4 days so will have to get there and back on the day, although Belgian trains seem somehow to be on par with UK for pricing. Think the above link ^^^ mentioned discount with museum tickets though so will have a gander.

kinda want the Blinken jersey to signify the time when America gave democrats a chance and they fucked it never to be elected again for 50 years

not into Cameron jersey .. if it was Gove though <3
Gove is a GC guy who gets top 10 every GT but never ever in contention for winning
-

Gove would be the guy noone wants in the breakaway.
Suspect he would also maintain steady eye contact with the nearest rider whilst elaborately shaking off the drops during a "natural break".
-
• #49261
Gove is either Davide Bais or Dan Martin
-
• #49262
Cameron is Tao, somehow won a GT as the conditions were favourable, will never win again (soz Andyp)

Gove would be banned for drug use.

And deny it for years.

Do Discovery Plus not do same day highlights like GCN and Eurosport used to do? I can't seem to find highlights of anything except from the day befores racing, not the same day evening. Bit shite if not

Tour of the alps highlights started broadcast at 8pm on eurosport so you can access now via discovery plus but likely not 10 minutes ago!

If you are with multiple people get a Railpas. 9 euro for 1 trip. Or if you get a normal ticket, weekendtickets are half price. So shouldn't be that expensive.

Simon Yates with divine intervention from his team, Jacob Hallelujah.
Plague of locusts to confuse the breakaway with 30k to go then he rides across water whilst everyone else is trying to pull on rain jackets.

Suggestions for a place to watch lbl tomorrow? We have a car so fairly flexible but trying to time it around baby napping routine so around 14.00 ( somewhere around 80 km to go)

I'd head to Stavelot. You can see them descend off the Cote de Wanne, then do a right hand turn up the Stockeu, then head back into town and see them come off the Stockeu and start the Haute-Levee.
If you're really keen you could then try and intercept the race as they start the Rosier, but it's tricky as you don't have very long to make it.

Good shout! Also plenty of places for fries. Thank you!
Thank you - really helpful. Hopefully there’s a few things to do in Liege too so partner isn’t bored out of their mind! Worse comes to worse can extensively sample the LBL sponsor bieres
