It would be a lot nicer. They could totally do a monochrome BB58.

I still struggle with the snowflake hour hand paired with the Rolex dial markings instead of a Mercedes hand.

You mean the end link doesn't conform to the shape of the lugs? That's a deliberate design choice. They don't on a Rolex either and Rolex end links and bracelets are pretty much the best finished in the industry. Tudor's are also really good (they don't wiggle or leave a gap). With Rolex though, they use a male centre link so the middle of the end link is closer to where the ends of the lugs are, in terms of length. Tudor use female end links which helps the watch wear better on smaller wrists, but doesn't look as nice.

For me, end links that conform to the case/lugs, when you have conventional lugs, almost always look too chunky/heavy. I think it's one of those things that seems to have seeped into the collective consciousness as "bad", in the post-Hoodwinkee/Instagram world. They never did match the case, nor were intended to, because it looks really bulky. It seems to stem from some bloke on the internet deciding it upsets his OCD. Like the flyer/caller GMT thing; labelling GMTs that have jumping local hour hand "true GMTs". Which implies the first 30-40 years of Rolex GMT-Masters, you know, the watch that invented the genre, weren't "true" GMTs.

I see. I wasn't aware of that. For me it looks clunky, a bad connection.

I now see it's the same on a submariner, but I never noticed it before.

They're great. Although mine is not the upgraded king version. Just a Pepsi padi model. Not sure why the needed to upgrade, they're already robust and accurate enough. They are heavy, especially on a bracelet and they sit quite high on the wrist. But still perfectly manageable. I surf in mine and it doesn't feel unbalanced at all.

The Sub works because the male link has the same profile as the wider lug shoulders.

Where as the Tudor female is slightly lost.

I think the aim of the end link, aesthetically, is usually to look as though the bracelet continues through the watch, rather than looking like a part of the watch case itself.

There are plenty of exceptions but that's the trad approach.

Price-wise, I think gone are the days where you could find a Samurai (not King) from even a high st retailer for around 300 when on sale.

Crazy isn't it? I paid $279 Aussie dollar bucks for mine about 5 years ago. Mad value. I've been tempted by the white dial King version, but wish they would do a re-release of the titanium case.

I've seen the white dial in person. It does look nice, but I was glad I picked the red when I did a side-by-side.

Seiko Thursday for me.

Like a lot of my lesser worn watches, whenever I decide to sell it on, I wear it for a "final" time and realise I really like it and want to keep it.

absolutely love the 316L stainless steel YEMA Scales bracelet after months of the diver strap, then I saw it on other Yema watches recently and it feels less special.

But I’m sure I will get over that.

Can't help but feel this has killed my interest in watches.

I wear my skx013 on a bracelet occasionally if I want something smarter. But now everytime I look at other watches I wonder if they'll be lighter, more comfortable and as practical as this:

I want a Hamilton Boulton, there’s some in Japan that’s smaller (like how it is in the 40’s), but I’m concern whether it may be a fake, or it’s genuinely JDM, I know it’s likely the latter but would like opinion on here.
