  • very effective head of security for the household

  • Never fussed by a good out of context quote. But unsure of the implication here?

  • Ability to set your own daily schedule, to accommodate your lifestyle, whether its work or kid clock off time felt golf club.
Also use of the word lifestyle.

Mostly jealousy of kids bedtime being anywhere close to 7pm...

  • I guess what I'm saying is for my own lifestyle I want to clock off as close to 3:30pm as possible.

    Maybe then

  • More like 1:30pm, followed by liquid lunch and not returning to the office.

  • Ah right. I thought it was some sort of humble brag about finishing work at 7pm being early.

  • I know you should never explain or apologise in this thread, but that was more of a goal than a dictat.

Sort of like my NY goal of getting to 79kg by the end of the year.

  • Been at the Olivier awards, hosted by my wife's gooner boss. Enjoyed being magnanimous and champagne.

  • I've not visited that section of the Staines marina.

Lol, do you not come here on a Sunday or something?

  • all my other (£40k)kitchen purchases

  • I worked for a company in Bracknell where that was Friday every week (except we finished at 12:15). Problem was, unless you were mates with colleagues, it meant an afternoon hanging around alone until your mates finished work. At the time (I was 24), it felt like a waste of an afternoon, as someone rapidly approaching 50, it feels like it'd be great to have an afternoon to waste every week.

  • as someone rapidly approaching 50

  • (personal) chef's kiss

  • Insert the new addiction, Porsche Cayenne 3.2 V6 (R32 engine). It’s a brilliant car, fairly high spec, and most importantly it’s got clear windows all round.

  • not sure I was outraged, just surprised at the cost

  • Barbour Gamefair ... collection from Hoxton

  • I used to have the opposite, worked 11am to 7pm, Fridays were meeting already drunk pals in the pub and having to do shots to catch up
("Have" to was pushing it, but being in my early 20s had some peer pressure)
Mastered the art of 5pm fag breaks in the pub and having a loosener on the clock

  • I used to skateboard as a teenager and my sister wore Bench.

  • How the fuck is that golf club

  • Normally I just ignore their contributions, but I'm genuinely interested to hear the train of thought that lead to them posting that here.

  • Also struggling to see a golf connection

  • It's different, but I can picture it being said in the right tone, emphasised distain for the sisters brand choice.

  • Any brand name namedrop is GC.
Especially when it is not good.

"I just dropped £2500 at Palace on my sons 14th birthday present"
Sounds braggy but really isn't. Pure Golf.

  • Is it...? Are you allowed to mention what brand your bike is? If not then c&p every thread from bikes and bits in here.

In your sentence, highlighting the fact you spent £2,500 would be the GC bit in my opinion, or if you said something like, "oh you bought North Face for your son? We only buy Palace actually, spent £2,500 on his birthday this year"
