  • I'd forgotten about that story - that was nightmare stuff. A couple of years ago wasn't it - I can't remember all the details of it but for what it's worth it's looking great in that picture.

    crappy Mojaxe bridge

The compensated one? I was thinking of putting one on a Les Paul I'm building - you not keen?

  • It's tainted!! Kinda fell out of love with it after all that shit. Need to change that.

Yeah, the compensated one. It didn't work out on this guitar, it just wouldn't intonate. It looks great tho'! 🤷🏼‍♂️ Apparently, the Music City Bridge is a doddle to install and intonate, even for an idiot like me. You get both the E strings in tune and that's it, the rest happens automatically. They have a few different versions, check them out.

Maybe a little time apart is what it needed to get back into it - make the incident part of its history and back story!

By shifting it forwards / back against the posts? I've picked up the Faber wraparound bridge for now. It's got those little brass bars, which presumably are way better for intonation, but which spoil the illusion a bit. I'll check out the music city one, thanks

  • It’s an incredible guitar man. Don’t taint it by associating it twat that snapped it. All the best gibsons have neck repairs anyway. It’s got a bit of Glaser on it now. That counts for a lot.
