Well Israel have bombed and killed in other countries for decades, before Israel was made.
Only the US/UK and other foreign military keeps them from retaliation from there actions.
The idea that one country can attack whom ever it wants with impunity. But bombing an Iranian embassy in Syria was probably a way to get the us involved as they have hated Iran since having the us supported dictator removed.

I just find it odd that Syria and Iraq are treated as not being sovereign, the west appears to just use thier air space as they see fit
