some fab quads here, prices are abit #gulp though.
edit: was out for the first time on my 3x3 in-lines yesterday for around 4 hours in Victoria Park. The height has taken a while to adjust from quads, but I reckon a few short sessions each week and I’ll be okay, biggest challenge have been inclines, descent and hard stops. Great workout for strengthening ankles for skiing

Holy Trinity weekend of Ardwick, Wigan & S.Mcr sessions over 2 days. Was knackered by end but 10yo is progressing and in a fit of madness I've upgraded to Sims Street Snakes and got some Bones Team Logo 98a's & Red bearings on the way.
Met a guy from London who was involved in the setup of a place called Flippers which looks great, and makes me sad my kindof-in-laws no longer live in Brentford for visits.
Edit: had meant to post wheel pic

I didn't get them yet, was priced out of that ebay auction...

Oh well, keep searching though. perhaps more luck now that summer is over

It's a double edged search, if I find some it gets more spendy!

Trying these tomorrow, by all accounts I'll struggle to stand up...
Edit: so nice, and not too slippy on wood

How did you get on?

I’ve missed skating recently, weather has been fab in London. alas I’m on a mission to finish work on the house..

They're very nice wheels. On wood they were great, not slidey at all. On solid floor later they felt a bit slidey in the turns but in a controllable way & I can see where that will help as (if) I get better
They collected the lint pretty well too...

Hope you can get back on it soon 👍

glad you are happy with your bauers.. they are solid skates. The wheels will be fine, plenty of practice needed.
I'll be back out there soon. Every dry day in the park is begging for a spin, skating throughout the year is important too.

Yeah, had a good session this morning at Wigan, evening session later too. All fancy dress and different (spooky) playlists.
Hope you made it out too.

Wigan today I noticed my boots under uv for the first time, me likey.
Daughter progressing to skating around for long time without stopping (was 1 to 2 laps max) although still holding my hand on the rink, she's more confident skating though the cafe when not thinking about it.
I had the softer wheels on as there was chance we'd skate outdoor in Warrington (but rain stopped that) and learned backward bubbles (lemons) today, massive brain block overthinking it, but progress and it'll get easier with more practice.

Update, backward laps at smaller evening session achievement unlocked. Woot.

Went skating for the first time in about three years since quitting roller derby last week - and there was definitely a bunch of muscles that I obviously don't use when cycling because my legs and hips are still feeling it. Was good fun though...

Finally got back on my skates a couple of weeks ago, social skate in a school hall. Lovely to be gliding around. 4 months after wrist surgery and now properly protected with ennui city guards. Will leave the park skating to another life and stick to the flat lands and work on my transitions and maybe some spins...

Back at Wigan today, closer to regular backwards bubbles, inc staggered. Also nearly doing the catwalk crossover thing in the straights a couple times, I can roll along on each foot solo long enough to do it, so it should get there with more time and practice.

^ yeah I feel better equipped to skate outdoors so hoping for a good summer.
My weekend got shuffled about a bit so instead of Wigan I made it to the local session this evening, it was buzzing and they got a train / snake going at one point which was something I've not done for 30+ years. I don't know it's proper name even.

^ Ace.
I have had a pause whilst being in a training block although me & my daughter did skate along the Marine Parade Promenade in Weston-super-Mare a couple weeks back.
It was great fun & very different to wooden floor, music & lights. Think we'll make use of the local MUGA this summer when it is dry.

Great stuff, make sure you get plenty of outside use with the Bauer r/s inlines
