I've got very obsessed with this https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/387681/?offset=75 thread. There was a time when I really wasn't into the look of rim brake bikes anymore but I'm getting old and tastes change and whilst I still ride fixed most days, on the days I end up in the Southdowns the hills aren't getting easier anymore so it time for something simple / sensible.
I've been buying random stuff on ebay to add to my mood board not really knowing where I'm going with it, I was hoping to do it relatively cheaply but I'm already failing at that.
The current parts bin includes:-
Microshift bar end shifters
SRAM Apex Rear Mech
Salsa Cowbell Road Bars
Gevenalle Thumbshifter brake Levers.
SRAM Force Crankset x2
Tektro - R359 brakes (Sensible, Cheap)
TRP RG957 brakes (Lovely, Not Cheap)
SRAM Force X1 Crankset
Hope RS4s on OpenPros
The general idea is to get something running on a X1 set up before moving to a more roadie 2x.
