I used to work for Caren and Matt @coldharbour at Isen and whilst there we had an issue with the company who manufactured the BB shells. All Shells come from the factory with an external groove to indicate right and left hand thread, this BB came with the grove on the wrong side.

Which would be a different issue that would cause the BB shell to be installed backwards with reversed threads unless it was QC checked. Not both sides threaded the same way.
