Do you want to keep the (a) dynamo rear light on the bike? If so you'll need to take the light off the rack and find another way of mounting it to the bike when the rack is removed. Remembering to coil up enough wire to reattach it to the rack when you want to put the rack back on again.
Also most dynamo lights should never need a cable snipping to remove them - it's usually a spade connector or possibly a ring connector which can be undone and reused.
To be honest it'll be a load of annoying faff which might go wrong, cost money if a new mount is needed, and then have to be reversed in a few months anyway. I'd strongly recommend leaving it as is!

You could use dyna snaps for quick release (I have some next to my front wheel for easy puncture repair) but you'd still have the problem of where to mount the light when you are rackless. I'd keep the rack on for an easy life.

Thanks in advance, novice here.
I have a supernova rear light on the rack. I want to take the rack off for summer, what am I best to do to remove the rack? Snip it? Real novice here the shop did it all for me.
