What time is it? Watches and horology

You can at least see the display but it’s very faint. A new display would appear to be impossible to find.

Fold it back and tuck in is what I do.
If you fold back towards outside or inside seems to be a touchy subject.

Usually you fold it back over and into the metal keeper on that side of the strap.

Chapeau to Frederique Constant for doing a moonphase pointer date properly. Great numerals, no digital distortion or word processor fonts in sight.

Sometimes that is just what happens to LCD displays as they age.

Checked out the monochrome BB yesterday. Still not entirely my bag but it’s nice de-vintaged and it’s a manageable size, just about, maybe? It felt too big for its bracelet though. And kind of bulbous or something.

Also tried a BB54. It’s nice but the case is quite “maxi” for the size, not as vintage feeling as I expected. Didn’t get a pic of that.

I still hate the riveted bracelet, otherwise it looks nice without the yellowed dial elements.

Fairly sure N+1 rule applies to dive watches, right?

I have the pepsi bezel with blue waffle dial. Doesn't get worn an awful lot but when I do put it on I always appreciate it's uniqueness from the agressive lines.

I'd recommend trying one on it a shop. They're fat.

Local independent has one in stock, bit cheaper than RRP, will swing by and give it a whirl.

Prices seemed to have jumped since I last looked, fairly sure samurai were around the 300-350 mark.
These King versions are closer to 600. I know they have a few upgrades, but double the price? Thanks Obama/Brexit/Delete as appropriate.
