not so well as to provoke a counter strike
My understanding is that Israel have any number of detailed attack plans in the drawer on how to take out nuclear facilities in Iran. This is an excellent opportunity to execute one of them.

Well Israel have bombed and killed in other countries for decades, before Israel was made.
Only the US/UK and other foreign military keeps them from retaliation from there actions.
The idea that one country can attack whom ever it wants with impunity. But bombing an Iranian embassy in Syria was probably a way to get the us involved as they have hated Iran since having the us supported dictator removed.

I wonder if the Iranians want to launch a not-so-successful attack on Israeli? Revenge has been done but not so well as to provoke a counter strike that's needs a response etc that ramps up to all out war.
