I am reading State of Bass at the moment and they touch on how after Prodigy's Charly there was a raft of gimmick 70/80's kid's show based rave tunes. The the larger record companies bank rolled them in an attempt at chart success.

It's not "intelligent", but I've been listening to this a lot recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZMWKqbcwzo

This isn't really the exact thread for it, but I'm struggling to find anywhere else suitable to ask.
This track is on the tip of my tongue, think it is some kind of early/mid 00s breaks tune, but I might be wrong. Anybody know it? It's so familiar and has been keeping me up!

Thanks, it really does! I've looked through the back catalogue of the artists from that era I can remember, and can't find anything. Shazam isn't helping either. This could get annoying!

On the verge of getting YouTube Premium to ding ads and listen to this uninterrupted. Lovely (best adjective I could think of) set from Goldie:
