  • Thought I’d drop in with this, since it’s Friday.

Rendered more wearable today, by the subtle application of a nail file to the sharp edges of the crown.

  • Jesus.

    This place has changed. 👌

  • More info please!

  • Yes, much more proportionate. Is it the Ultra-Thin?

    Strong week!

  • It's a Habring from the year they started. 2004ish. A modified eta Time Only. After a few years I sent it back for a service and asked if they wanted to play around with it, and they did this. One of only two.

  • Happy sunny Friday!!

  • I changed the battery in my gshock, but the numbers and seconds bar are still really faint.

Is it the screen that needs changing

  • I thought my tough solar G Shock was faulty, but apparently there is a power saving mode, and also reduced operation until the battery gets to a certain threshold.

    Worth trying a different battery?

  • New G-shock arrived in the post:

  • Has anyone ever changed a G-Shock battery themselves? Is it hard? I have a 150€ watch and the local shop want to charge me 40€ to change the battery.

  • It's easy if u don't want it pressure tested. (Waterproofed)

Just replaced a CR16 in one of mine (below) with a jewellers screw driver.

I prob won't take it to 200m as stated.

  • Easy

    Just need the tiny screwdriver

  • It’s a brand new battery

  • Is it the right type of battery?

This is the tricky bit as they do vary in spec.

  • New (to me) from @PawG.

  • Cr2016. Exactly what was in it

  • As other have said it's pretty straight forward. I don't know if they are all like it but on the 3 modules I have done they all have some reset point on the back to bridge before reassembly. I know from experience they don't work right unless you do this so watch out for that.

  • Spookily similar to @honk ‘s new watch, I have just picked up a nice Seiko while in Japan.

Is there a knack to securing the excess strap, or is cutting it the only way?

  • Weird. Wondering if battery is faulty or not inserted / aligned to contacts correctly? Have you tried to reinstall?

  • Not sure what to make of the new Rolex ad
