  • If you go for a Twenty the BB shell needs to be cut to 73mm wide and threads recut if you want to fit a square taper bb, a alloy seatpost, the dropouts stretched to fit modern 406 wheels (a much better choice of tyres) and longer drop brakes fitted or go fixed gear and you’ll have a bomb proof bike.

    Or I might also have some Phil Wood 26tpi rings that would work with a shimano un71 or un72 (or a Phil BB) - which is a nice, neat solution too.
