  • Thanks Tester and Phil. We’ve gone with a Spa fork with the original measurements.

  • These only appear at certain zoom levels in RWGPS. Has someone played silly buggers with OSM?

I don't see them on the OSM website though.

  • The claim is against the company. The fella who’s been dealing (or not as the case may be) with the claim is one of the directors.
I’ll look into objecting to the stile off.
I assume I’ll get sent a copy of the court order that gets sent to the defendant? That would be the best evidence I can show to companies house.
Thanks to you and tester for your help.

  • Must have been a golf club member.

I can't see that on OSM, either.

It looks as if someone defined two road alignments on RWGPS, if you can do that? I've never used it so no idea how it works. At any rate, those 'roads' don't exist in OSM, it seems.

  • The claim is against the company. The fella who’s been dealing (or not as the case may be) with the claim is one of the directors.

Yep, in that case you should definitely object to the strike off, otherwise all your efforts will be in vain.

Yes, you'll get a copy of the sealed order posted to you. Eventually. Central London are incredibly slow at sending out things like this though. I'm still waiting for a sealed version of an order from a hearing on 11th March. Despite the fact that we sent the court an agreed version of the order on the 19th.

  • Yeah, I can't see them in OSM either but no amount of refreshing browser will update RWGPS OSM maps to get rid of them. It's quite funny/odd.

  • I'd like some compact drops for use on an old 1" quill stem bike. Something like a Deda Piega, but silver and not too expensive.

    Any suggestions?

  • I think Soma HWY or something are what you can get in silver. But they’re not cheap like Deda Piega :(

There’s a thread in the bikes and bits section.

    Edit: found it: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/214488/

  • Card terminals with their own data connection (digital sim or some such) that can also tap into wifi if required. What's out there?

Fast transaction speed is I guess the most essential after portability/data.

Basically for an events business where we have queues of people and want to get them in asap.

Bonus if it comes with its own bank account and card but not essential. We've used Sumup 3G readers for a few years but they fail after 3-6 months, every time. They just stop connecting and troubleshooting/their tech support hasn't provided a solution beyond spend another £100+ for a new one.

  • Speak to Elavon, they now have a smart phone app which allows you to use the phone as a card reader.

  • I quite fancy a set of Stooge Moto bars at some point. Is there anything that's a similar shape that doesn't cost £72 though? It's to go on a bike built from a frame that cost me £80 so that seems a bit silly

  • Plenty of options that cost more than £72 🤣

  • BLB big smoke are high but not as much sweep.

  • I'm after the sweep as well! Also, 31.8mm clamp to use with my nice M_V stem. Would rather not shim.

  • Rationalising spending £72 on a set of bars I really don't need. Now we're talking.

  • Solving my own question here - https://www.lfgss.com/comments/17345958/

The solution was actually realising that the light came with a 3.5 m long cable, which - in addition to £4 worth of trunking from Screwfix - was enough to route it all the way along my kitchen wall around the sink, extractor hood and a few cabinets to reach a socket at the other end of the room.

  • They have 31.8mm clamp ones, I'm using them, there's decent sweep but not 17°.

  • I just stripped the locknut on the right hand SPD pedal. Didn't realise it was reverse thread. It's a finer pitch than any bolt in my spares box, any idea what I need to order?

  • I missed that! I'll take a proper look.

  • any idea what I need to order?

A pitch gauge for a start. If it's anything other than ISO coarse, you're going to have to hunt around for a nut to fit, particularly in LH thread.

Given the plastic lock bolt, I'm guessing that's a pretty low end pedal, I'd just save a lot of time and effort and get new pedals.

  • They're quite nice in silver too if you're that way inclined, I put some on s bike I built for someone.

  • Hmmm, for some reason they're just not grabbing me. To be clear, I'm looking to make a 100% frivolous purchase, logic isn't really factoring in to it. I know that must be shocking to read "on here". I think I either just need to stick with my current Bontrager Satellites, which are great, or convince myself that it's fine to spend £72 to impress everyone on my commute with my excellent taste.

  • I just ponied up for the Stooge ones. Have searched extensively for cheaper alternatives, but no joy. Those BLB ones appear to be significantly narrower, and with less sweep.

  • for some reason they're just not grabbing me.

Really... You should be grabbing them.

But yeah, I got them at about £15 trade and they're decent, but really I wanted stooges but am poor.

  • Gussett beard bar? More sweep but narrower.
