If you can get a lift up to Derry Lodge (or cycle), you could get into the Lairig Ghru, nip into the corrour bothy for a tea, up the devils point and even return via glen dee if you fancied a longer day.
You could also head up glen derry towards the lairig an Laoigh/hutchinson hut and bag a peak(s) on the way/way back.
Ha, we must have been typing those in parallel! I imagine lochnagar might be a bit quieter than LG options, though I’ve only approached it from the east before.
And yeah, loads of bikes shoved into the heather around derry lodge with a lock thrown on when I was there last year.
