  • here's some pics of the lomo bag and the attachments to the rack. i also use it on another bike with a basket and just chuck it in there.
there's a shoulder strap as well which i keep in the bag that comes in handy when off the bike.
i had the pizza bag for a while and they are good, but not that easy to use as a standalone bag.
i don't think there's a 'one thing fits all' approach to carrying shit on your bike really as it totally depends on your individual use case.

::edit:: it can get in the way of the brifters if it's really full, but that goes for any rack/bag/basket combo if you have non flared drop bars.

  • If still relevant for anyone Tokyobike (UK) sell the Blue Lug X-straps in various colours

  • Cheers for the photos. Any chance of a picture with the bag open?

I'm using a flat bar so hopefully don't need to worry about over filling the bag.

  • sorry, been a busy weekend. I'll try and remember to take one tomorrow morning

  • here you go!

  • Thanks! That looks sufficient for carrying lots of stuff.

  • Could someone estimate the max distance between the fork crown bolt and the bolt hole mid way down the fork that a pizza rack could span ? Ta.

  • Am I asking for a trip to the dentist/A&E by only using a single bolt to attach the pizza rack to the fork crown mount thing? I had to move the whole rack forward to accommodate some new wider profile canti brakes and couldn't fit both bolts

  • Probably not, but the zip tie around the fork leg / round the rack would be a good additional thing to add.

  • Cable ties or luggage straps are your friends. I run them even with both bolts in use

  • Very smart. cheers both!

  • I've run mine like this for several years and never had an issue. I just check the bolt occasionally.

  • anyone got a pizza rack for sale?

  • What's the best way to attach one of these to a steel fork without mid-fork mounting points (I've got canti mounts but figure those are no use)? I've seen the Tubus LM-1 suggested as an option but trying to figure out if there's a cheaper option (P-clamps?) before putting down 17 quid for those.

  • Still on the lookout for a pair of the mounting triangles, hmu if you have any pls! Thanks

  • If you're desperate I've got some Surly Nice Rack triangles that would probably work, although not look as good.

  • I just fitted one of these and was also worried about my teeth with the mount option, was trying to figure out how to add some security beyond threadlock, cable ties are genius.

  • The light mount welds sheared on my ride home last night. It's the second (fool me etc etc) time it's happened. Has anyone else had this happen?

What did you do for mounting afterwards? I don't really want to side/fork mount the light, so thinking P-clips to the rescue?

  • I think I've got a couple in my toolbox. Drop me a DM with your details and I'll post them out.

  • What kind of light? I have some 3-d printed clamp on mounts that I use for a Dynamo light. Might be of use? Lots of caveats but happy to share if you are willing to give it a go.

  • Any pics of the break and the light?

  • Cateye Ampp800. I had it mounted to a B&M bracket with a Cateye mount inserted. Assuming the leverage caused the weld to fatigue? Anyway those look like they could be really helpful. I'll DM you, thanks!

@si_mon628 I'll take a couple of photos tonight. But attached in is a pic of the rack.

  • is this the central mount on the front of the rack?
i have a gopro mounted to that, might have to think of a different mounting solution...

  • Yeah. This is how it was mounted, the light with bracket weighs about 200g but still not great imo.

  • I managed to sheer one of the small screws using a torque wrench to the correct setting in the manual, they don't seem the greatest quality tbh.
