my fellow commutees into Canary Wharf seem to manage to make it in each day with their subs
£44m worth reported stolen in London last year! The thieves seem to operate mostly in the evenings at weekends, spotting watches of people going for a drink . There's been heaps of press coverage

Likely a guilloche-style dial? Regal educated everyone on it a few months back:
'Real guilloché is done by hand and requires very specialist machinery and skills, and is therefore very expensive. There are so few suppliers that can do it..'
-
• #77180
Yes, Fauxoché. This one's new and sub £200 so unlikely done by hand! Great value though.
-
• #77181
Agreed, it looks great!

Beautiful guilloché on this 250k euro JLC. Top of my Euromillions shopping list. The dial is said to take 2 or 3 days to make. The version without guilloché costs 25k less

Ha - you're right. I cannot find a single photo of him wearing a helmet.
-
• #77184
I like it.
-
• #77185
All that and they stick that fucking year window on it.
-
• #77186
Is that Times New Roman or Arial on a 250k watch? 🤔
-
• #77187
I know. Looks like an IWC part. They're owned by the same group. If I bought one I'd try to get the font changed.
-
• #77188
Wait what?
That's a very good looking watch for the price. -
• #77189
It's distorted Gill Sans with Arial in the year window.

Launched 4 years ago. They said they would make 50. It seems they are still available new on the JLC site. Probably depreciates by two thirds as soon as you leave the shop.
-
• #77191
Where did you buy it from please? rather like that and looks great for the price.

I prefer the older look, but then does that mean I am old now?
I get you need to shake it up and with them playing on heritage that didn’t really exist maybe the new owners thought it was time to cut ties on a brand that has built by some military lose history and parts.

Pastel pink is in this year then

That is VERY cool.
I thought they were doing a grand job selling to people for whom spitfires, connections to the military and 'made in england' were all value adds.
