Anyway, I don't buy shit from AliExpress or their ilk so if everyone lets SRAM know they need to use USB-C that'd be great.

And heavy advertising
Edit:
pretty sure what people consider domestic suppliers are procuring via the commercial version, alibaba -

We're all slaves for the 0.01%. I guess you can probably find a less slavey source

AliX sells them too...
Do they fit 11-speed di2?

Changed my cassette (still a middle-aged friendly 11-34) and since then, the big ring allows cross chaining to the 34T (but not the little one to the 11T). Any idea what is going on?
-
• #6061
Unless you change the settings, I think Di2 always allows cross chaining for big big, just not small small
-
• #6062
Probably just old age.. cheers
-
• #6063
I think so anyway, I seem to remember it being that way on all the ones I've set up and my road bike is definitely that way too.
You can probably change this in the etube app if you don't want it to happen -
• #6064
Di2 won't let you use small small in 11 SPEED. It's a good feature IMO, you can use a longer chain and in some setups the chain will rub the big ring.
12 speed will allow it, but not in Dura Ace. Guess it's because pro riders use big ass chain rings?
Not customizable AFAIK. -
• #6065
I think you're right. I'm thinking of synchro shift modes where you can set the limits of which cog it forces a front shift on

Senior moment then... thanks!

IIRC, it only prevents small/small if it thinks you're running compact rings? If you tell it you're rocking a 53/39 it'll do the whole cassette on small. Or something like that, I think. At least that was the case a bunch of firmware versions ago. Might require the earlier e-tube program even

Doesn't do that on mine. However, I don't think I've touched the e-tube program in about 4years, and I may never have changed it from when I ran a compact
-
• #6069
I never touched the software but my TT bike wouldn't do small small from factory, but it would go through the whole block without an FD.

Shimano's name for it Gear Position Control and you can turn it on or off but only if you tell it you have a 53/39, otherwise it's always on:
https://bettershifting.com/di2-cant-shift-to-smallest-cogs-in-small-ring-adjust-gpc/If you have first gen 11 speed (6870 or DA9000) it doesn't exist.

If you have first gen 11 speed (6870 or DA9000) it doesn't exist.
Which is why my partner's mongrel setup (old DA, new GRX) doesn't seem to have it.

Anyone know if an XT Di2 FD would work with the wider spaced GRX cranks?
(or what the different XT FD models are)
-
• #6073
On paper it should, Mtb cranks have wider QR. It will probably have a way too small curvature if you're using gravel sized chainrings.
TL:DR get the right stuff -

Seems to just work with road cranks, so wider grx cranks should work better

I want to "reset" my di2 rear as I've clearly fucked something. Should I wind out the limit screws and do the 5th gear setup and then reset the limits?
