Some quick googling says that in the UK we spend £40bn per year on car finance, £18bn on car insurance, £30bn on maintenance and servicing, £55bn on diesel for domestic cars, £28bn on petrol for domestic cars, and £5bn on road maintenance. For a total of £176bn. More than we spend on either our education or health care system.
Ban domestic cars.
